How the scoring actually works

This part is worth understanding, because it determines whether a leaderboard appears at all. A table's score is the sum of the point values of the missions completed at it: every confirmed photo adds that mission's points. If three people at table 5 complete a 20-point mission, table 5 gets 60 points.

For points to reach the right table, every table needs a QR card with its own number on it. That card is what tells the page which table to credit.

If you print one shared QR code and hang it by the entrance, guests will happily upload photos and complete missions, but the table leaderboard will stay empty. Timed missions — unlocking the game hour by hour

Every mission can be given an unlock time. It stays invisible to guests until then, so the game follows the reception instead of fighting it: the cake mission appears ten minutes before the cake is cut, the first-dance mission right before the first dance, the last-people-standing mission only after 2 a.m.

This solves the classic problem with wedding games — hand a guest twenty missions at once and they'll be overwhelmed and do none of them. Spreading missions across the night keeps three to five things available at any moment, all of them matching whatever is actually happening in the room.

Setting the game up, step by step

Turn on the missions module and add 8 to 15 missions — fewer than 8 runs dry, more than 15 overwhelms.
Price them: 10 points for easy, 20–25 for anything that requires leaving the table, 30 for the couple and the emotional ones.
Set unlock times at least on the missions tied to specific moments (cake, first dance, bouquet toss).
Generate and print QR cards with table numbers — without them the leaderboard never starts.
Put one card on every table, propped up rather than lying flat under a plate.
Ask your MC or best man to say one sentence, once, at the start of the night: the game exists. That's enough.
Don't announce standings mid-reception — the leaderboard is already on everyone's phone, and interrupting kills the momentum.

The mistakes that break the table game

No QR cards on the tables — the number one cause of an empty leaderboard. The system has no way to know the table number.
Too many missions at once. Twenty tasks on arrival reads like homework, not a game.
Every mission worth the same. With no spread in points there's no reason to attempt the harder ones.
Missions that require drinking or that embarrass specific people. There is family and there are kids in the room.
Announcing the game over the microphone every hour. Once is enough; the rest takes care of itself.
A QR card hidden behind the centerpiece or lying flat under a plate — nobody will notice it.
Missions that can't be done indoors, like anything requiring a trip outside in November.

What you're left with the next day

The real payoff arrives the morning after. Mission photos land in your gallery already labeled: you can see which mission and which table is behind every frame.
