Two things that have to be in place
For a photo to score, the guest has to tap a specific mission (rather than use the generic upload button), and it has to be clear which table they are at — which means a numbered QR card on that table. When one of those is missing, the photo still lands in your gallery, it just doesn't count toward the leaderboard.
1. There are no per-table QR cards (by far the most common)
If you printed one shared QR code and hung it by the entrance or propped it next to the cake, every guest opens the page with no table information. They complete missions, the photos reach the gallery, and the points have nowhere to go.
Fix: generate a separate QR card for each table and put one on every table. A numbered card isn't decor — it's the piece that hands the page a table number. If the reception is already underway, ask the MC for one sentence: "type your table number in the field at the top of the screen."
2. The cards are there, but guests scanned the code from the invitation
If you sent the QR code out with invitations or put it on your wedding website, some guests will already have the page open from before the reception — with no table number. Scanning the card on their table fixes it, but not everyone will think to.
Fix: a single line on the card — "scan THIS code to play for your table." Alternatively, leave the manual table-number field visible and mention it once at the start.
3. Guests are using the generic upload button, not the missions
The other half of the same problem. A photo uploaded through the general upload button has no mission attached, so even with a correct table number it generates no points.
Fix: make the missions visible. If the missions tab is turned off or hidden, switch it on in your page-sections settings. It also helps if your first mission has an almost-zero barrier — "a photo of your table" takes three seconds and teaches the guest where to tap.
4. Every mission has an unlock time
If all your missions carry a scheduled time, then before the first of those times the mission list is simply empty. A guest opens the page, sees nothing, and concludes there's no game.
Fix: leave three or four missions untimed. They'll be available from the start, and they're the ones that get the leaderboard moving.
5. The event isn't on the Pro plan
Wedding photo missions, the table game and timed unlocks are Pro plan features. On other plans the missions tab doesn't appear at all — the gallery and photo uploads work normally, but there's no game.

Start for freeFix: check which plan is attached to the event. If the missions module shows a plan notice instead of a mission list, that's what's happening.
6. The missions tab is switched off in your page sections
Even on Pro, the visibility of each tab on the guest page is controlled separately. The missions section may simply be unchecked.
Fix: open the event page module, go to page sections, and enable the missions section. The change is immediate — refresh the guest page to confirm.
7. You haven't added any missions
It sounds obvious, but it happens more than you'd think: right plan, tab enabled, and an empty mission list because nobody clicked the ready-made suggestions or wrote their own.
Fix: there are eight ready-made missions you can add with a single click. That's enough to start; write the rest in your own words.
8. The upload never finished
Sending a photo happens in two stages: the file goes to storage, then the page confirms it arrived. If a guest closes the browser halfway through, or loses signal in a basement venue, the photo may never be confirmed — and an unconfirmed photo counts for neither the gallery nor the leaderboard.
Fix: this is almost always a venue signal problem. Failed uploads are visible on the guest's screen and can be retried with one tap. If the venue has poor coverage, get the Wi-Fi password and print it on the QR card.
Quick checklist
| Check | Where | What correct looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Numbered QR cards | On every table in the room | One card per table, visible, propped up |
| Pro plan | Dashboard, plan settings | Missions module shows a list, not a plan notice |
| Missions tab enabled | Event page / page sections | Guests can see the missions tab |
| At least one untimed mission | Guest fun / missions | The mission list isn't empty at the start |
| Signal or Wi-Fi at the venue | The reception venue | Photos upload without errors |
How to test this before the wedding, not during it
The simplest test takes five minutes on your own phone. Scan the QR card for table 1 exactly the way a guest would. Open the missions tab. Complete any mission by sending a photo of a wall. Refresh the page — table 1 should appear on the leaderboard with that mission's point value. If it does, the whole mechanism works and all that's left is placing the cards. You can delete the test photo from the dashboard afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the table leaderboard empty even though guests are uploading photos?
The most common cause is missing per-table QR cards. Those cards are what tell the page which table a guest is sitting at, so without them there is nowhere for the points to go.
Are photos without a table number lost?
No. They land in your gallery normally and you can download them. They just don't count toward the table leaderboard.
Can a guest enter their table number manually?
Yes. There's a table-number field on the missions screen. Once a guest fills it in, their mission photos start scoring for that table.
The leaderboard only shows a few tables — is that a bug?
No. Guests see the top of the standings rather than a full list of every table. It's deliberate: a short list reads on a phone in two seconds.
Do missions work on every plan?
No. Wedding photo missions, the table game and timed unlocks are part of the Pro plan.
How do I test the table game before the wedding?
Scan the table 1 QR card with your own phone, complete any mission with any photo, and refresh. If table 1 shows up on the leaderboard, the mechanism works. Delete the test photo from the dashboard afterwards.
A photo failed to upload — what now?
Failed uploads show on the guest's screen and can be retried with one tap. The usual cause is weak signal at the venue, so sharing the Wi-Fi password helps.
