Guestpix Alternative: How My Wedding Memories Compares

Guestpix and My Wedding Memories solve the same problem in almost the same way. Guests scan a QR code, upload photos and videos from the phone's browser without an app or an account, and the couple downloads the files in full quality. Both also include an online invitation with RSVP and a live slideshow. So the choice comes down to price, how long uploads stay open, and what else you want on the day: My Wedding Memories adds a wedding planner, photo missions with a table game, DJ song requests, a time capsule and a film made from guests' clips, while Guestpix has a free plan, a three-gallery bundle and more interface languages.

When Guestpix is the better choice

  • You want to try the flow at a small gathering for free: the free plan takes up to 50 photos.
  • You have several events, such as an engagement party, the wedding and a brunch: the Bundle gives three separate galleries for one price.
  • Guests will keep sending photos for a long time and you want uploads open for two years: only the Bundle offers 24 months.
  • Some of your guests read the interface in a language we don't cover, such as Japanese.

When My Wedding Memories fits better

  • You also want to plan the wedding in the same place: guest list, seating plan and budget come with Premium and Pro.
  • You want guests to do something besides uploading: photo missions with a table game, song requests for the DJ, a time capsule that opens on a date the guest picks, and a short film assembled from their clips.
  • You prefer voice messages to written ones: guests can record up to 90 seconds from their phone.
  • You want the lowest price for one wedding: the US prices start at $37 and the full package is $69.
  • The wedding isn't the only celebration: the same product has separate packages for christenings, First Communions, birthdays and graduation parties.

What is the same, and worth checking anyway

Both galleries are unlisted, both run in the browser, and both promise full-quality downloads. Before you pay for either, do two things. First, open the guest page on an older phone with weak signal, because that is how a basement reception hall behaves. Second, note the date when uploads close and the date when the gallery goes offline, and put a reminder in your calendar a month before the second one. Those two dates matter more than any feature on the list.

How to try My Wedding Memories before paying

Create an account, set up the wedding page and open it as a guest would. Before you pay you can build the whole page and preview it exactly as guests will see it; the QR code and the guest link appear the moment the package is paid. Access then runs for 365 days counted from the wedding date, not from the day you pay, so buying early doesn't shorten it.
